EID-AL-ADUHA: MUSLIM LEADERS CALL FOR PEACE, HARMONY DURING POLITICAL SEASON

Love And faith  were emphasized for Muslims all over, as the world celebrates  Eid-ul-Adha today, in commemoration of Prophet Abraham's commitment to his faith, as he was "willing" to sacrifice his son, because God asked him to. God intervened at the last moment, presenting a ram to be sacrificed in the son's place.
 
At the celebrations in Arua primary play grounds, Saidi Dramani, the main preacher urges the Muslims to emulate prophet Ibrahim’s faith in their lives to establish a good relationship with their creator.
 
“The sacrifice of Abraham teaches us timeless lessons in faith, in obedience, in trust in Allah, and in selflessness. The believer whose faith is firmly established in his heart will realize that his life and his death are for Allah,” Dramani said.
 
Sheikh Abu Jafar, the district Khadi of the Uganda Muslim supreme council calls the communities to support children in education in order to grow in faith and other aspects of life.
 
“I emphasize on the issue of education, I emphasize community effort to send their children to school, not to allow children to loiter around, and education was the fast revelation to the holy prophet, when God sent him to communicate to the world,” Abu Jafar said.
 
Salim Kumakech, the RCC of Arua city calls for love and harmony in this political season in order to enable peace to prevail at all times.
 
“The political season has come, and I want to request politicians to use this opportunity to sell ideas, not to sell hatred, to sell your programs not to sell propaganda, when you do that, we will be happy with you, the people will be happy with you,” Said Kumakech.

The celebrations at Arua primary play grounds in Arua city attracted a multitude of Muslims, and they were encouraged to be upright all the time.
