Arua City Council, in collaboration with the Lugbara Kari cultural institution and West Nile leaders, held a special council session to honor the late Suzan Ezatia, the former Minister of Gender, Labour, and Social Development for Lugbara Kari. Ezatia, a dedicated public servant, passed away suddenly on Wednesday at Arua Regional Referral Hospital shortly after falling at her home.
During the tribute session at Arua City offices premises, His Worship Lawrence, the Arua City Mayor, praised Ezatia’s commitment to the community. He expressed gratitude to her family and proposed that Mango Road in Arua city be named in her memory.
“Mango road which is supposed to be connected to the road in front of Muni University once we work on it, I have decided as the mayor to be named in memory of Late Suzan Ezatia in consultation with other relevant offices responsible,” he said.

Hon Wadri Kasiano, a former Member of Parliament for Arua Municipality, highlighted her dedicated service to Lugbara Kari and the broader region.
