As part of its Cooperate Social Responsibility, MTN Uganda has contributed ten million Ugandan shillings to support the Northern cluster in preparation of this year’s Anglican martyrs day celebrations in Namugongo.
This has come to aid the 2.2 billion total budgets the cluster made for the organization of the celebrations.
At the handover of this contribution at Emmanuel cathedral Mvara, Biron Malimoto, the regional marketing coordinator for MTN says the power of faith is strong and worth supporting,
“As a brand rooted in the community we serve, MTN believes in the power of faith to unite, inspire, and uplift, our theme for this year’s support is, together, our faith is unstoppable, and today’s gesture is a reflection of that gesture,” Biron said.
MTN also launched an online code for the members of the public to support the cluster with the organization of their matters day celebration,
The bishop of Madi West Nile diocese, The Rte. Rev Charles Collins Andaku appreciates MTN for their contribution saying.it has come timely,
“On behalf of all the six bishops hailing from the Northern cluster, church of Uganda dioceses, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation to MTN Uganda for their enormous support towards the contribution of the organization of Uganda martyrs this year, this has come timely because in our budget, we are looking forward to get 2.2 billion, but there is big gap so when MTN comes to give us this help, we want to say thank you,” Collins said.
This year’s Martyrs’ Day celebrations at the Anglican site in Namugongo will be hosted by the Northern Cluster, which comprises six dioceses,
