Post bank has donated animals to the Muslim community in Arua as one of their Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) in preparations of Eid Adhua celebrations.
The regional Manager of post bank northern region Patrick Okwi Osakan says the donation is a sign of solidarity and support to their customers.
“In light of the spirit of giving and sacrifice in the upcoming Eid celebrations we as a bank we took it upon ourselves to join the different Muslim communities since this is a day that will be celebrated across the world since it has been a tradition of our Muslim brothers so that motivated us to join them,”
Mustafa Aliga the administrative secretary Arua Muslim district says the animals will be shared among the vulnerable people.
“We appreciate post bank for giving us the animals, we have the mode of sharing and most especially this will go to the marginalized and those who are in need and those who need support so the little we have received we shall send to the marginalized,” he revealed.
The deputy speaker Arua city council Tabu Fred reechoed the council’s commitment to support the Muslim community.
Tabu said that, “Our work is to bring more donors and partners so we shall always work together to see that we develop our people and also work to serve the almighty God in all the work we have, the small time we are going to be in office we are going to dedicate it to connect you to these kind of people.”
The donated animals were extended to major mosques across the regions where they operate through their branches in Arua, Mbale, Bombo, and Fort Portal.
